Description: Mamij's Purse—a bilingual, fictional tale about a boy, his mother, and her curious purse; written to remind us that ordinary life is extraordinary.
Table 2: "Enhancing the Reading Experience with Author Studies"
Presenters: Professor: Beth LaForce; Students: Sarah Harmon, Karissa Brown, Leanne Leighton, and Megan Luke, George Fox University
Description: This presentation will show how incorporating author studies into reading will help enhance student learning and give students a personal experience with an author.

Description: Building on vocabulary research, teacher candidates from multiple disciplines describe how they incorporated activities that aided students to learn academic language.
