2011, 8:00 - 12:30 pm: Science & Literacy . . . On the Leading Edge at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay. Driftwood Reading Council is proud to collaborate with the Oregon Science Teacher’s Association (OSTA) for this year’s conference. There are three keynote speakers: Jennifer Tilson, Dr. Megan Goss, and Dr. Jill Castek, who all helped write and develop the curriculum Seeds of Science/Roots of Reading units. Presenters will also introduce research-based principals for integrating science and literacy instruction across K-12 contexts. Credit is available through Eastern Oregon University.
