Read with a therapy dog from a local kennel club, enjoy the Bookwalk, make a craft, make a bookmark, and listen to surprise celebrity readers. Bring your family and friends to this free event. 2010, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm: Literacy Event with author Shannon Young in the Hoover Elementary School gym at 3833 NW Walnut Blvd, Corvallis, OR. Shannon Young will talk about her book, The Little Saguaro. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and a book to read around the "campfire." We'll have refreshments and door prizes.
